| Job Description | Under the supervision of the YOUR NAME Department of YOUR DEPT and guided by the policies and procedures of the YOUR NAME Medical Center, this Physician Assistant position is assigned to YOUR DEPT patients. The essential functions of this role will be to provide inpatient care and oversight for musculoskeletal conditions for the YOUR DEPT Department. This Physician Assistant position may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their "scope of practice". In general, the "scope of practice" includes the routine management of inpatients and their chronic/stable medical conditions and minor acute care according to approved protocols, and medical and surgical procedures according to approved standardized procedures. This position may provide patient care in the YOUR Operating Room setting, YOUR Hospital Ward setting, and YOUR Ambulatory Care setting, as well as initial management of patients who may need orthopedic evaluation in the Emergency Department.

| Qualifications | • Must have graduated from a Physician's Assistant Program accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association
• Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification and licensed in the State of YOUR STATE • Must have specific training and experience in Orthopedics (musculoskeletal systems) • Must be able to document competent performance of the skills required to perform in the role described • Excellent verbal and written communication, professional, computer and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse professional and patient population • Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job duties/ functions • Prior experience in medical office environment |
