Where to have your
MRI performed
An important option that patients have is the freedom to
choose where they want a procedure completed. Important questions to ask
when selecting the best place for your MRI include:
• Does the facility have a permanently based internal MRI or a mobile
unit?
• Are the studies performed by Certified MRI Technologist?
• Who will read the MRI data and provide your doctor a report?
• Does the provider offer supervised sedation if necessary?
• Is the MRI covered by your insurance?
• Is the facility conveniently located?
These questions are pertinent, but you should discuss with
your doctor where the best place to have a medical image taken in in your
local area.
